The Strategic Programs office of Dynetics Technical Solutions, Inc. (DTS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynetics, is seeking a qualified Electrical Power Systems Engineer for its directed energy programs. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics Technical Solutions provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The successful candidate will serve as an Electrical Power Systems Engineer that will handle all aspects of power systems to include primary and secondary battery systems, power convertors, power regulation and distribution systems, and switching circuits. Responsibilities will include the design, procurement, production, and test of power system hardware along with developing the equipment and tools to support the effort leading to production. The candidate will be expected to design and analyze hardware based on established program performance requirements. The candidate will establish design and manufacturing documentation to facilitate production. The candidate will support production and test of hardware along with developing the equipment and tools to support the production process. The candidate will support/oversee development of test equipment and test processes as well as review of test results. In addition, the candidate will need to support equipment installation and testing during AI&T process, including troubleshooting and potential onsite repairs/rework. The candidate will assist in preparation of RFP for component manufacturing, including parts management, quality, and documentation, and establishing test requirements along with providing supplier surveillance during manufacturing and testing to include Non-Compliance Reports and quality issues. Work will be conducted in an integration/production facility along with a laboratory environment.
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field from an ABET accredited school is required.
Candidate should have at least 5+ years of relevant experience.
The following skills/abilities are desired:
· Knowledge of power system design along with methods of compliance and test
· Organizational skills to document designs, assist with Technical Data Packages (TDP) and support production and test of power system components
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
The ideal candidate would have experience in electronics, power systems, cables, environmental testing and have a current DoD Secret clearance.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
