Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Air & Missile Defense Manufacturing Operations Manager to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
This position will perform a key function of providing leadership and managing the Air & Missile Defense Program Quality, Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations. This role will provide leadership to ensure planning and organizing of our product realization approach leading to efficient Air & Missile Defense Program manufacturing and integration activities at all supplier and internal locations, to include high-quality manufacturing of mechanical & electronics components, integration of weapon systems, sensors and other complex electro-mechanical systems. The Manufacturing Operations Lead will work closely with Program leadership, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing personnel to plan and formulate manufacturing operations strategies for the Program to meet schedule and quality requirements. Key responsibilities will include the following:
Promoting a safe work environment
Leading the planning, preparation and execution of manufacturing for the Air & Missile program to meet key customer requirements
Identify resource requirements for facilities, personnel, and Capital investment
Identifying logistics requirements and strategies for execution
Lead Supply Chain Management and working on outsourcing opportunities
Assisting with supplier performance assessment and improvement initiatives as necessary
Promoting excellence in all activities
Ensuring that Quality and Compliance standards are met for all products
Meeting delivery and financial obligations and driving transparency through the use of KPI’s and Metrics
Fostering an environment of continuous improvement and problem solving
Writing proposals and supporting business development opportunities
BS in a technical or business discipline with 15+ years- experience in manufacturing management for Defense, Aerospace, or Commercial projects with an understanding of manufacturing quality requirements for such projects.
10 years of management experience such as project or organizational leadership experience
Experience leading a cross-functional team with emphasis on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, & Manufacturing
Supply Chain or Supplier Management experience
Experience planning hardware product realization efforts
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area
Preferred candidates will also meet some of the following:
Program/Project Management experience. PMI Certification a plus.
Experience working on large proposals for Government customers
MBA or advanced technical degree
Experience with AS9100, and DCMA standards
Participated in start-up of a new/greenfield plant or operation
Strong manufacturing or logistics background in Defense, Aerospace or Commercial industry
Previous responsibility for P&L of business unit
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
