Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Autonomy Engineer to join a diverse team responsible for creating unique solutions for complex flight vehicle engineering challenges. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
Successful candidate will have experience and understanding of statistical learning, machine learning fundamentals, and reinforcement learning. The ideal candidate will have background in mathematical modeling of statistical pattern recognition, graph theoretic approaches, high dimensional data visualization techniques, nonparametric statistics as well as game theory fundamentals and an interest in autonomous systems operations. The engineer/scientist in this role will support activities related to development of data-driven models.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Data Science, Statistics, or Engineering from an accredited college or university and 0-3 years of experience and a GPA > 3.0.
Candidate must be comfortable with autonomy algorithm development and implementation in Python (or equivalent).
Candidate must be familiar with engineering autonomy and controls concepts.
Candidate must be comfortable with data science/data analytics concepts.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Master's Degree in Math, Data Science/Data Analytics, Statistics or Engineering is desired. Special consideration is made for applicable experience in lieu of advanced degrees.
· Current active Secret or Top Secret clearance is desirable.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
