Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Administrative Assistant to join a dynamic team focused on enterprise IT and cyber security solutions and products. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering solutions.

The Administrative Assistant will support the Finance and Accounting teams located in our Corporate Headquarters in Huntsville, AL. As an integral member of the team, the selected candidate will work closely with all levels and types of staff found in a corporate environment - including functional staff, executives and customers. Therefore, a professional demeanor and good communications skills are required. Ethical behavior and the ability to be trusted with confidential data and other corporate matters is critical.

Key duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Meeting coordination and event hosting
  • Procuring office equipment and reconciling purchasing credit card for the group
  • Assisting in processing cash receipts and checks
  • Drafting of meeting agendas and PowerPoint presentations
  • Typing formal communications and screening calls
  • Managing calendars and reminders
  • Greeting and escorting visitors
  • Monitoring timesheet and training completion
  • Travel planning and processing of expense reports
  • Assistance with new-employee set-up
  • Monitoring annual division staff requirements such as resume and appraisal status
  • Working with other administrative staff supporting corporate events

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (or related field) is required with two (2) plus years of experience.

In lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of six (6) years’ prior experience as an administrative professional is required.

Tracking of actions, budgets, and expenses, supporting the project control staff, entering purchase requests and working with applications such as CostPoint and SharePoint may also be required.

Candidate must have computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Able to multi-task and support various duties as needed and assigned. Some meetings/event support require a flexible schedule (including mornings, evenings and weekends).

Independent thinker and self-starter with proven organizational skills.

Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
