Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Quality Auditor to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

Successful candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, and follow-up related to audits of quality management system processes and product-specific processes. To include audits of activities such as production, calibration, hardware and software engineering, shelf life, human resources, purchasing and supplier evaluation, safety, nonconforming product, and business operations. Applicant must be able to work in fast-paced R&D environment and in production environment with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements. Must have worked in an environment where the candidate participated in auditing of those requirements.
  • Must have extremely strong communication skills and will work with project managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure expectations of quality process requirements are known.
  • Must be able to read and interpret procedures, work instructions, drawings, assembly schematics, and specifications during the audit process.
  • Must be able to prepare audit plans and prepare hand written or computer generated audit reports.
  • Must be able to report audit findings to all levels of management and communicate problem areas.
  • Must have computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to work a full-time, 5-days per week 8-hours per shift. Must be able to accommodate overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Some travel is required, typically no more than 25 percent (one week per month)

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

· AS9100 and/or CMMI experience preferred.

· Knowledge and auditing experience of Government and industry regulations such as FARs, DFARS, MIL-STDs, IPC, SAE, ASTM, and others preferred.

· 2 years of experience with software engineering processes is preferred.

· Demonstrated experience in evaluating suppliers’ quality processes and procedures is also preferred.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.
