Position Description

Dynetics, a Leidos company, is seeking a talented Desktop Support Technician to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The candidate will be responsible for desktop hardware & software end-user support for Dynetics staff. The position requires the ability to provide tier II system & network administration support, peripheral troubleshooting and maintenance, wired, wireless, and mobile phone support, cabling, documentation, and other information technology support tasks as required. This position will involve interacting with Dynetics employees at all levels of the organization and the candidate will be required to exercise good communication skills both written and verbal.

Basic Qualifications

Must have HS diploma with Five to ten years of experience supporting workstations, peripheral devices, and mobile devices on a Microsoft Active Directory Domain in an enterprise environment is required.

This position requires knowledge and experience related to personal computers, networking, Microsoft operating systems & applications, and hardware troubleshooting.

A customer-oriented approach to information systems is expected and required of this position.

Candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, customer service, and task completion skills.

Qualified candidates will possess (and maintain) a valid driver's license and must be able to climb, push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds without aid.

Other Qualifications

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama area.

Candidates with alternate platform experience such as Linux and Macintosh will be given preference.

Additionally, candidates with Information Technology related certifications and automation experience will be given preference.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
