Position Description

Dynetics Technical Solutions (DTS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dynetics, is seeking talented CNC Machinist/Programmers to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics Technical Solutions provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The CNC Machinist/Programmer must be capable of reading engineering drawings and CAD models to produce precision parts. Ideal candidate should have experience in setup and operation of a variety of machine tools including CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Manual Mills, Manual Lathes. Machinist will be responsible for performing complex setups and operations. Experience with 5-axis, mill turns, and machining precision aerospace components are a plus. Applicant must be able to work on different projects in an ever changing, rapid paced R&D environment with little or no assistance.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates must possess a High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.

Candidates must have at least five (5) years of precision machining experience in programming, setup, and operation of CNC Mills and Lathes.

Candidate must be able to work 2nd shift with work hours from 4:00p-2:30a.

Candidate must be able to work a 4-days per week, 10-hours per shift work schedule (4/10 Plan).

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.



Other Qualifications

Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge of:

  • 5 axis machining experience 
  • P:rogramming, setup, and operation of machine tools including CNC Mills and CNC Lathes, 5-axis and/or mill-turn experience is a plus
  • (2) two years of 2D & 3D experience with a CAM software tool is a plus
  • SURFCAM experience, Edgecam or Catia experience
  • Experience machining in a medium volume precision aerospace component environmen

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
