Position Description

Dynetics Technical Solutions (DTS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynetics, is seeking a qualified Hardware Integration Lead for its Directed Energy line of business. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics Technical Solutions provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The successful candidate will serve as the Hardware Integration Lead that will support the Integration and Test IPT for a high energy laser project (IFPC-HEL). The selected individual will lead the integration planning for a pre-prototype unit in preparation for prototype and production units. The Integration lead will collaborate with the other IPT leads to develop an integration plan for a new system. Primary responsibilities for the individual will be:

· Using drawings to develop a system level integration plan

· Developing flow diagrams and work instructions identifying and laying out the build process

· Creating detailed step-by-step assembly procedures to satisfy requirements

· Supporting other IPTs as required to support system level integration

Basic Qualifications

A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited university and 5+ years of relevant experience.

In lieu of engineering degree, a BS or BA degree and 15 years of experience supporting DoD related programs may be substituted.

The following skills/abilities are required:

  • Lead and establish system CONOPS
  • Experience leading hardware prototyping or low-rate/high-precision production activities
  • Ability to Perform systems/ integration, planning and execution
  • Strong computer skills (MS Excel, MS Project)
  • Interface Control Document (ICD) maintenance



Other Qualifications

Candidates must be a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.

Experience and demonstrated skill in any of the following areas is also a plus:

  • Working in a Clean room environment
  • Familiarity with High Energy Laser systems
  • Familiarity with Thermal management systems
  • Familiarity with Power management systems
  • DOD Test Range experience
  • Strong work ethic and a positive team player
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary
  • Software integration
  • CAD and 3D Modeling

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
