Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented LabVIEW Developer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. 

The LabVIEW Developer for Weapon Systems will be responsible for developing quick-turn laboratory test setups and long-term fieldable test equipment for foreign weapon systems. This candidate will support multiple programs by collaborating in a team environment to develop test solutions. The candidate will Defining and documenting test requirements, Estimating test setup development costs, designing test hardware solutions using off-the-shelf National Instruments equipment, off-the-shelf equipment from other vendors, and equipment custom designed by Dynetics. The candidate will develop LabVIEW and other GUI based applications for control and monitoring of test processes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with a 3.3 or higher GPA.
  • Candidate must possess a strong competency in designing test setups or equipment using the LabVIEW programming environment.
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Candidates must be a resident of Huntsville, AL or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area. 

Other Qualifications

  • Preference shown to candidates who have current National Instruments LabVIEW certifications (CLAD, CLD, CLA, or CLED).
  • Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge of: testing and debugging of complex systems using standard analog and digital test equipment, other programming languages including C++, C#, Java, and Python, and video capture and overlay equipment.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
