Position Description

Spire Manufacturing, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dynetics, is seeking talented Lead Production Technician to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics Technical Solutions provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The Lead Production Technician must be capable of reading engineering drawings and following work instructions to produce production components. The Lead Production Technician must also be able to set the example in operating machinery safely and as directed. Attention to detail is key to the success of building good-quality products. Experience in the manufacturing of large components for aerospace application is a plus. The candidate must be adaptive and willing to change tasks based on production needs. This candidate must be able to facilitate, without supervision, the manufacturing of quality components. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring production tasks meet due dates and moving or directing personnel as needed to meet the due dates. This candidate must have strong and clear communication skills and have the ability to identify when things need to be escalated to production managers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess a High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Candidate must have at least (7) years of manufacturing experience
  • Candidate must be able to read and evaluate engineering drawings
  • Must maintain documentation for operations including checklists, inspection forms, and travelers
  • Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Candidate must be able to work 1st 6:30 am – 4:00 pm
  • Candidate must be a resident of CoS, CO area or willing to relocate to CoS, Colorado, CO area.
  • In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hourly range for this role is $20/hr to $35/hr; however, Dynetics considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.

Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge of:

  • Associate Degree
  • Read and evaluate GD&T
  • Manufacturing experience at an AS9100 certified organization
