Position Description

Dynetics, a Leidos Company, is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join a diverse team to create quality solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

In this role, you will join the Gray Eagle Trainer development team within the Joint Technology Center’s Systems Integration Laboratory (JSIL). You will use your skills to design and develop software that trains end users to operate the MQ-1C Gray Eagle Unmanned Aerial System. This position involves the development and evaluation of software through all phases of the software development life cycle, including the development of features, debugging, and unit testing, analyzing new technologies and best practices, and collaborating with other teammates. The team follows agile software practices, shares a passion for solving complex problems, delivering exceptional software, improving software development processes, and exceeding customer expectations

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficiency with C#, .NET, C++, or other object-oriented programming language.
• Knowledge of data structures and object-oriented design.
• Must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
• Strong communication skills and must be a self-starter able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Onsite work required.

Other Qualifications

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

• Agile software methodologies (e.g., Scrum)
• .NET technologies such as WPF
• Git and Azure DevOps Server
• Reverse engineering and debugging
• Software integration in complex systems
• Unit testing and continuous integration best practices
• Design patterns
• Socket-based communication protocols (e.g., DIS, CIGI, STANAG 4586)
• Modeling and Simulation experience

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
