Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join the Dynetics Avionics Products Division. Dynetics operates offices across the United States that engage in defense, space, cyber and commercial, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective engineering scientific, and IT solutions

The Senior Electrical Design engineer shall support Avionics projects with circuit board design, FPGA firmware development, embedded electronics design, test planning and debug. The position includes working with other engineers to design, build and test Avionics products.

The position provides the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting technical projects in a fast-paced working environment. A candidate should be willing to work within a diverse group of other engineers and technical personnel.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates much possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or an equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution

Candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience.

Candidate must have experience effectively communicating within a team environment and have experience mentoring and leading other team members.

The candidate should be local to or willing to relocate to the Huntsville AL area

Other Qualifications

Experience with the design of rugged digital and analog data acquisition systems is preferred

Experience with developing software and firmware for embedded systems is required

Previous experience in the areas of Global Positioning System and Inertial Measurement Unit technology is preferred

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
