Dynetics is seeking a talented Software Developer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The Software Developer in this role will work with automotive customers, as well as with Dynetics team members to develop and support Dynetics automotive test products used in facilities across the United States and some international locations. Candidate will develop, maintain, and support software applications running in production-critical environments. This position requires an understanding of basic hardware interfacing, as well as the ability to assist troubleshooting system problems remotely. Skills used to perform this work include software programming, computer networking and networking related concepts, and hardware interfaces. Internet software development or database skills are desirable.
Candidate will be required to demonstrate knowledge of C#, Windows Forms, .NET and event-driven applications, and have the ability to develop and maintain object-oriented, reusable software. Experience with Visual Studio and debugging applications is preferred, as is experience with databases, Git, SVN, Vue.JS/Typescript, SignalR web sockets, and an understanding of basic networking (TCP/IP, UDP, FTP).
Candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automotive Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidate must be a resident of Detroit or willing to relocate to the Detroit Michigan area.
The position requires performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
Candidate must be comfortable interfacing with customers and field engineering personnel.
Candidate must be able to work independently as well as participate in group projects.
The position requires supporting production-critical systems in multiple locations both during and after normal working hours.
