Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Business Development Director to join a diverse team within the Weapons Technology and Manufacturing (WTM) Operation to help create unique solutions to complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and innovative defense solutions.
A successful candidate will have an understanding and experience in all the pillars of air and missile defense including passive defense, active defense, attack operations, and BMC4I. It is a must for a candidate to have significant training and operational experience in these areas.
The Business Development Director for Integrated Air and Missile Defense performs a strategic role focused on supporting the company’s long term positioning in the marketplace. The selected candidate will be responsible for generating sales leads and expanding the customer base of the organization. His/Her job entails driving business growth by identifying opportunities, tracking new markets, and building sustainable client relationships. He/She will establish strategies and policies crucial to expanding the presence of the company and products. They will set business objectives and implement action plans for achieving sales targets. They will supervise a team of marketing and sales personnel to achieve set targets and goals. They will recruit, hire, and train qualified personnel to ensure an effective workforce.
Duties of this role include, but are not limited to: strategic planning, opportunity identification, qualification of pursuits, aiding / coaching / mentoring / assisting team members and stakeholders in finding, developing, and capturing new business.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University is required with at least 10+ years of AMD experience.
Required skills and abilities:
· Ability to travel up to 30%
· US Citizen possessing (as well as maintaining) a Final Secret Clearance.
· Resident of North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama area.
· Experience in Joint or Army staffs will assist in understanding operational programs.
