Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a passionate, detailed-oriented problem-solver to serve as Inventory Specialist to support the Thermal Protection System Production Program as part of the Advanced Materials Product Group. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
As an integral member of the TPS Production Team, the successful candidate will serve as Inventory Specialist, supporting the Production Manager, with direct responsibility for documenting, tracking, handling, and managing of TPS components. This position will balance multiple activities including but not limited to:
- Stocking/tracking of components
- Fulfilling requests for materials
- Performing inventory actions using CostPoint
- Assembling of kits for manufacturing
- Delivery and pickup of material; preparing shipments
- Supporting materials audits
- Cycle counting
- Material handling
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization
- Performs other related job duties as required
- Travel to supplier sites as required (20% - 30%)
- Candidate must possess a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Candidate must have at least 5 years of inventory control experience.
- Candidate should be proficient in Costpoint and must demonstrate experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Candidate should be familiar with AS9100
- Candidate should have some experience in Hazardous Material; IATA or CFR 49.
- Candidate must be familiar with FIFO (First In, First Out), for tracking shelf life material.
- Candidate must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Candidate must be able to demonstrate strong personal organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Candidate must have a valid driver's license and sufficient driving record to perform delivery and pickup activities. Candidate may be required to obtain CDL.
- Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
- Candidate should have experience working in manufacturing or production environment
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance
- Must be able to travel up to 30%
Candidates with an Associates Degree will be given additional consideration.
