Dynetics, a Leidos company, is seeking a talented Software Engineer to lead a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The Software Section Manager will supervise a team of software developers that are designing, testing, and integrating software to serve a variety of Dynetics internal and external customers. The candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced working environment and be a motivated independent learner.
This section will consist primarily of Principal and Senior Principal engineers.
The candidate must be highly organized with an excellent technical background, as the candidate must be a strong technical contributor as well as a leader of teammates.
-Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
-Candidate must have at least 10 years of professional working experience.
-Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively leading software teams to deliver highly technical software solutions to meet dynamic schedules and customer requirements.
-Candidate must have experience in analyzing and developing requirements, designing, and maintaining software products, and implementing software designs.
-Candidate must be able to parse ambiguous requirements and translate into team direction and guidance.
-Candidate must have experience preparing and presenting demonstrations and briefings to customers and management in demonstrations and Program Management Reviews, to include both technical and financial data. -Candidate must have experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and task management.
-Candidate must have experience mentoring teammates and providing guidance to accomplish tasks and projects.
-Candidate must have experience advocating for teammates.
-Candidate must have experience in recruitment efforts.
-Candidate must have experience with conducting practical technical coding challenges in interviews.
-Candidate must have experience with peer reviews, automated testing, and document generation.
-Candidate must demonstrate strong competency in software development in C# and C++ and possess an aptitude for good software design techniques.
Candidate must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
